Naturopathic medicine is a whole body approach to health and healing that identifies root cause of an ailment, rather than just treating the symptoms. It also promotes balance of our internal environment and the body's natural ability to heal itself by boosting the immune system. In conjunction with identifying how to strengthen the system, blocks or obstacles to the body's inherent ability to restore health are removed. All of these things are accomplished with the use of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, exercise, hydrotherapy, and herbal medicines, etc.

Naturopathic remedies for Breast Cancer are certainly not the mainstream approach. But the more we learn and understand about the treatments, the more alluring they become. In spite of being conditioned to believe in the care and protocols of treatment by our conventional system, we are seeing the validity, and successes of a natural approach.

Because these remedies are less invasive, and less toxic, an illness or disease is not compounded. The patient is not faced with harmful side-effects or another debilitating condition. Anyone who has been prescribed any medication from a medical doctor is fully aware that typically you are forewarned of "side-effects." So basically, in order for you to treat one condition you are at risk fo creating something else. This is not the case with natural remedies, because, as was mentioned previously, the whole body system is balanced with this care.

One of biggest knocks against Naturopathic medicine is that it requires time to take effect. We are accustomed to a "quick fix," and this is not the case when in essence, your whole system is being righted, and anything that is out of balance is balanced. This reduces the risk for side-effects. Because of this, acute situations should not subscribe to naturopathic remedies. Breast Cancer that has progressed beyond certain points are not known to fair well with naturopathic remedies.

In weighing one's options for breast cancer treatment, naturopathic medicine should be given consideration, depending on how the cancer has progressed and what prognosis has been determined.
